If I could have any power, I would want to be the fastest man alive. Who needs to fly or be super strong when no one can catch you! (Plus, you can run on water and reverse time!) That’s why I’m super jealous of these nearly superhuman reflexes. Seriously, how did they DO that?!
Wait, are we in The Matrix?
Just give him Father of the Year NOW.
Well, that’s an overreaction.
Saved from the clutches of defeat.
Someone should have been a goalie.
Quickest reservations ever.
You, sir, clearly aren’t texting while driving.
I think he broke the 100m record.
Worst Jack in the Box ever!
Ok, you can valet my car.

Do you see what I mean? If I had these reflexes, I could conquer the world…or maybe just be super awesome like these guys.

Our society focuses on fictional superheroes because we’re drawn to the seemingly impossible. Lines of people will wait to see a new Ironman or Captain America movie… but probably don’t give a second’s thought to the real heroes out there. There are thousands of men and woman that save the lives of others, but no one knows that they are doing it. Take, for example, this man in China. He was just walking down a street when he noticed tragedy in the making… and then stopped to help. Most passers by kept on going, but he and another man stopped to save a life.
These passers by noticed trouble two stories up.
Immediately, they acted… and one man saved the life of a child.
Watch his heroism in action; your jaw will drop when you see just how miraculous his save was.
Source: YouTube Heroes are real. they just might not be who you think they are. Share this man’s incredible act of heroism with others; hopefully some people can learn from his heroic example.

When you swim in the ocean, do you ever wonder what’s lurking below the waves? You know there’s stuff down there. But exactly WHAT is the real question. Well after taking a gander, let me tell you one special fact.
Ignorance is bliss.
Because after seeing these 15 scary crazy sea creatures in action… I may never even take a bath again.
1.) Water Bear
These little micro-animals may be less than 1 mm long, but are the first animals that are known to survive the vacuum of space.
2.) Mola Mola
The largest bony fish, it can weight 5000 lbs.
3.) Red-Lipped Batfish
Wow, too much lipstick?
4.) Ribbon Eel
These actually change genders as they grow up!
5.) Pink See-Through Fantasia
What’s up with these transparent guy? Haven’t they heard of decorum?
The 10 tentacle-like appendages on the squidworm’s head are longer than its whole body and are used to collect food from the water.
His transparent head shows you his brains!
It was voted the world’s ugliest animal, any guess why?
These little guys eat all the carbon in the water, helping the planet.
12.) Bobbit Worm
Growing up to 10 feet in length, they can break a fish in half with the force of their blow.
13.) Comb Jellies
The rainbow of colors is not due to bioluminescence, but rather light scattered from the moving cilia used by the comb jellies to move through the water.
Whoa. I wonder what the phobia name for a fear of sea creatures so scary that you’ll cringe at even turning on a faucet is. Something tells me it’s about to get a whole lot more used. I truly wonder how I’ll be able to get to sleep tonight…

If you are married (or even if you just hope to be someday), you’ll know that even the best relationships take work. Being committed to one person for the rest of your life can seem daunting. People have their good days and bad days, and you’ll have to live through both. Luckily, some long-married couples have advice for others that is tried-and-true. Combined, they have been married for 506 years. I think they know what they’re talking about.
Jenny and Manny DaSilva (65 years) – “When you go to bed at night, it doesn’t matter how angry or sad you are, you don’t have to say anything but you always, always touch toes. Just a little reminder that I’m here and I still love you no matter what.”
Mary and John McFeely (60 years) – “Tell [your wife] she’s beautiful every day and no matter how old you get, how sore your ‘ol bones feel, or how many teeth you lose, slow dance with and kiss [your wife] every chance you get. You never know when you won’t be able to again.”
Ummugul and Fikri Tatlici (62 years) – “Do not hold grudges. Forget, forgive and remember how you fell in love in the first place.”
Robert and Bernadine Higgins (61 years) – “Never hang wallpaper together.”
Vito and Dee Dee Lonero (54 years) – “I let him be the boss for the first 50 years, now I get the next 50. It’s even.”
Robert and Laura Wilkinson (57 years) – “Forget how society views marriage today. We were always in it for the long run.”
Helen and Joseph Pfeifer (57 years) – “Always kiss before bed, even if you’re angry. It’s what you’ll miss the most.”
Agnes and Harry Hutfles (60 years) – “You give and you give and you give.”
Jean and Paul Vagianos (30 years) – “Two things: Find your best friend and marry them. And weekend mornings are made for hours of talking and laughing over coffee.”
There’s some advice that seems too simple or childish, but when it comes down to it, being happily married is about keeping love and laughter in your life. You’ll face hard times, but you don’t have to do it alone. As for who to hang wallpaper with, I just plan on hiring someone to do it. All fights and stress avoided! When your beloved pet—your pseudo child—gets sick, you’ll do just about anything to make it better. If it’s an emergency trip to the pet hospital, or surgery that costs thousands of dollars, there’s nothing you wouldn’t do for your furry friend.
Usually this means saving the family dog, or even a cherished house cat. But when I saw what this couple did to save their favorite family member, I couldn’t fathom the amount of generosity and love they had for their pet.
Meet George the goldfish, who last week endured a 45 minute operation to remove a deadly tumor.
At 10 years old, with a life span of another 20 years, his owners couldn’t bear to put him down. Instead, they elected to have life-saving emergency surgery.
To sedate George, they cleverly thought to have him swim in water laced with anesthetic, which knocked him out.
Following surgery, his owners put him back into regular water, along with painkillers. He started swimming normally after only a few minutes!
George has a clean bill of health since his surgery, and his Australian owners look forward to another 20 years of happiness with him.
George avoided being today’s fish fillet, and with good cause. His owners showed how love can be a universal feeling, not just for other humans. I hope you have a connection with an animal like George in your life. I know I’m hugging mine right now!

It’s no wonder that some habits die hard after the passing of a loved one. That’s why this man’s continuing tradition of eating every meal with his beloved is the most heartbreaking thing in the world…and the most beautiful.
(via Elite Daily)
They say true love never dies, and that’s never been more apparent than at this local In-and-Out Burger. If their love can last forever, maybe there’s hope for the rest of us.

When Craig Armstrong adopted his cat from a shelter, he knew that he was adding another member to his family. What he didn’t know, though, was that he was also getting a new best friend and rock climbing partner. Millie isn’t your normal feline. She isn’t finicky when it comes to climbing crags and rock faces. In fact, she loves it. She naturally seeks out the high ground and challenges Craig, just as much as she is just there to keep him company. This cat takes the cake.
Millie loves to follow Craig and push herself.
It took a while to get her used to the idea…
Craig has to work slowly up the mountain in order to keep an eye on Millie.
He’d be lost if anything happened to her.
“It’s taken a lot of practice and many trips to get Millie to the point where she follows me down a trail past areas like thickets that would have distracted her otherwise.”
She usually doesn’t like wide open spaces with no cover…
He started with local parks first.
She is an incredible athlete.
And she teaches other cats her tricks.
Of course, Craig always keeps her safe with harnesses.
He treats her like any other climbing partner.
She loves slabby areas that she can scramble across.
But she isn’t afraid to take big leaps, either.
Needless to say, Millie isn’t a normal cat.
(H/T Bored Panda) Not every cat is like Millie, so if you decide to try to take your cat mountain climbing… be careful. (In fact, it might be best if you don’t try at all.) She is a one of a kind kitty. Share her unique passion with others by clicking on the button below.

When Little Thomas was found by the Vancouver Island Dogs Rescue Society, he had a severe case of mange. It was so bad that his skin was just sloughing off and his body’s immune system was extremely weak. The society stepped in immediately to save him. By using the combination of medicated baths, medicine and a little TLC, Little Thomas experienced a drastic change. It just took him one month to completely transform into the dog you’ll eventually see below. It’s amazing.
This is what Thomas looked like when he was first brought in.
The mange made all of his skin look painful.
The rescue used Kimberly Matalas “Feel Better” bath products to help battle the mange.
All the while, they bolstered Little Thomas’s immune system.
“We use Kimberly Matalas “Feel Better” bath products to help topically, they are treated for what else it is that are ailing them, put them on a high quality food and then you are cautious with what exposure the dog receives depending on the severity of his health. It’s about boosting the immune system while fighting the immediate sores and problem areas.”
Whatever they did worked!
To help protect his skin, Thomas would wear this onesie around.
Demodectic mange, what Little Thomas had, isn’t contagious and this treatment worked for him.
Sarcoptic is HIGHLY contagious.
After being treated and cleared by the vet, Thomas is healing with the help of his foster family.
(The treatment includes lots of love.)
It’s difficult not to be blown away by this one month of progress.

Otchan is a pig farmer, but he’s unlike one you’ve ever seen before. He has over 1,200 pigs, but he doesn’t treat them as just swine to be sold and butchered. Photographer Toshiteru Yamaji spent years documenting Otchan’s bond with his animals. In the US, we may look the other way when farmers raise their animals en masse in deplorable conditions, but seeing how Otchan interacts with his may change your mind on the subject.
He is very close with all of his animals.
He spends hours bonding with the pigs that he raises.
He cuddles with them, hand feeds them.
Sometimes, he just likes to spend time with them.
He’ll also serenade them with his guitar…
These pigs aren’t just a job for Otchan.
It’s rare to see anyone have this kind of a connection with animals.
Especially hundreds of them.
We wished more people were like Otchan.
His love of pigs is inspiring.
But so is their love for him.
(H/T Bored Panda) To see the rest of Toshiteru Yamaji’s photos of Otchan and his pigs, check out his book on Amazon. They share a bond that is truly touching. Otchan’s pigs have to be some of the happiest oinkers in the world! His farming methods are unique, but we love them. Share them with others!
